Something to think about- Brenda Wood

It doesn’t seem to matter what political party is in power or who the leader is, someone doesn’t like what they are doing. Still, complaining is not our job. We are supposed to respect and pray for our leaders.
When the Sanhedrin put Paul on trial in Acts 23: 1-5, NIV, the high priest ordered someone to hit Paul on the mouth.
Paul lost his temper and retorted, “God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! You sit there to judge me according to the law, yet you yourself violate the law by commanding that I be struck!”
Others then accused Paul of insulting the high priest. He replied, “Brothers, I did not realize that he was the high priest; for it is written: ‘Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people. Do not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people.”
He repeats that message in 1 Timothy 2:1-5
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth. for there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:1-5, NIV)
Something to think about…
Prayer – Father, we get so frustrated with our governments, but we trust that if we pray for them, you will surely change our hearts and minds and maybe even theirs. Amen

Progress

Life may have its ups and downs! But God says otherwise. A Christian's character lies not within our own strengths, but from endurance from everyday life. Christians shouldn't bother about living the high life, but a humble one ( not too humble though) If by any chance you fall by your own actions, be wise to not stay grounded, because that's what the devil wants.

God's Faithfulness

As I was on my way to church, I had an accident on my bike; trying to make a turn but silly me, I put all of my weight on one handle bar and my bike got twisted. Thanks to God there were no cars behind me or it would've been more serious, I would've ended up in a hospital. God's faithfulness surpasses our own understanding; we are sinners and we the deserve the worst. I  should have ended up in the hospital for the sinner  I am;but by God's amazing grace I am still alive. I am alive for a very good reason and I haven't been faithful to God, but He still he wants to use us. What ever happens in your life, know that God permits it for a good reason; be it for you to grow strong in the Lord, to show you a lesson that He and only He can give you happiness and joy, and to mold you into a great master piece for the advancement of the Gospel. Words cannot express how I feel towards God, for the things He has done; even though I don't deserve it.

A must....

What have I done? What have you done? Are we really serving our Lord with all our heart and soul? Are we really in love with our Lord? Has our priority changed? Has our values changed? have our focus in life changed? And if so, who made us changed it? Why can't we just accept God's will and stop making excuses, who are trying to hide from? To whom do our hearts belong to to? I must stop making excuses and start living the life that God wants me to live. We must stop making excuses and start living for God and not for ourselves.
