About the Blood
Rev
1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the
prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
1Pe
1:18 Forasmuch as ye
know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and
gold, from your vain conversation received
by tradition from your fathers;
1Pe 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without
blemish and without spot:
1Pe 1:20
Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was
manifest in these last times for you,
Heb
13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered
without the gate.
Heb
12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new
covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that
speaketh better things than that of Abel.
Heb
10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Heb
9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged
with blood; and without shedding of blood is no
remission.
Heb
9:14 How much more
shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead
works to serve the living God?
Heb
9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place,
having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Tit
3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have
done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the
washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Tit 3:6
Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus
Christ our Saviour;
Tit 3:7
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to
the hope of eternal life.
Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the
forgiveness of sins:
Col
1:19
For it pleased the Father that in
him should all fulness dwell;
Col 1:20
And, having made peace through the blood of
his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they
be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Eph
1:7 In whom we have
redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to
the riches of his grace;
Rom
5:9 Much more then, being
now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through
him.
It all started with this
verse after Adam and Eve disobeyed ;
Gen 3:21 Unto Adam
also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
A good reminder, Jose. We are saved through the blood of Jesus Christ! As we come toward Good Wednesday and Easter Sunday, it is good to remember that only the blood of the spotless Lamb of God can atone for sin!
